i like tarkov though so

i havent seen much of this EA

all the enemies from EA1 and 2

were straight up from the asset store

im actually kind of sad dark and darker is popular because its literally an idea i had like 4 years ago

when i used to watch a lot of tarkov

this is the first time ive seen someone make one of the game ideas ive had

and it gets big

I feel like there are some really awesome ways they could make the game way better but I have no faith in a small Korean indie dev

it solves a lot of the problems with (early) tarkov

i need to go back in time and make my tarkov dungeon crawler

before they do

ngl, I'm super unimpressed with the game, other than the core idea being amazing

3rd game in that genre

Tarkov, Hunt:Showdown, and now Dark and Darker

and I guess that Robinhood game sorta that already got shutdown

we need more tarkov-like games

i thought it was going to be a trend honestly

hitman of all things made a tarkov-like system

but i think tarkov is like peak multiplayer game mechanic

of having loot and stashes and bringing it home

There was the Darkzone in Division that they had to neuter because players were "being toxic" \

its the good parts of dayz without having to constantly reset/lose

i have stood by for like 3 years that tarkov-like games r good

but no one wants to make one

well, I don't think Tarkov is a good game overall

but those 1 or 2 systems

of cross-match progression

i think tarkovs system is good

and i do think tarkov has a LOT of good parts

the devs just make weird descisions

and the queue times are entirely the dev's faults

the realism and inventory stuff and the guns and sounds and movement

are all great

Hunt Showdown is better at a lot of that... but it's a shitty Crytek game at its core

where they overdesigned all of the wrong stuff

and left the core features barebones

i dont like hunt showdown
