so by using its "assistance" you lower its bond gauge

so if youre like me, and letting fish leave a bunch to get a certain size fish

youre using his bond if you fish with him

and he has different bond effects depending on his level, like in wyvern game he becomes an auto turret at low bond, instead of playing the game for you

their way to balance it is to throw avoid tanks at you

everything in the endgame has 80~ avoid

even if you have like 130 hit, it doesnt matter

its """balanced""" because you can just spam engages to beat them, which im fine with when its the bosses you have to engage spam to beat thats fine

but literally the only unit types in this map are swordmasters and wolf knights and bow knights

thats not difficulty its just tedium because it wants you to essnetially abuse the rewind mechanic and engage mechanic, as its form of difficulty

HP or def res tanks are more fun to play around, because at least you know what damaeg you acn or cant do

avoid tanks literally just exist to make you waste rewinds or engage

theres no reason a mage with 150 hit shoudl have a 50% chance to hit most of the units

this isnt a difficulty problem

i refuse to believe hard mode magically will remove the unit types you encoutner

im pretty sure this avoid issue as well, is a result of the weapon triangle changes, balance wise anyways

any axe unit they throw at you will always be slow and with low avoid due to the classes, which makes them WAY too easy to obliterate because the break system, your sword user will pretty much one shot them always

so to create something "immune" to the weapon triangle, or at least weaker to it, they need high avoid, i.e. the high avoid class being swordsmen, or immune alltogetehr, like wolf knights

The new weapon triangle feels half baked but at the same time I think it could be good if they added more to it

Breaking is a lot more interesting than just flat damage

it is but you end up with a lot more issues

the triangle already was a lot more fleshed out than flat damage tbf
