rusp did a map and there was like 10 less units and the boss had one less break bar

so it probably doesnt matter

I'll probably regret dropping difficulties, but man I just couldn't handle any more 2 hour maps where I lose right at the end

the jump in difficulty for the maps

is

insane

hard is fine mostly imo

the biggest thing from what i can tell

is that most bosses on maddening in the later maps

have 1 extra break bar

and everything has increased stats

and usually more reinforcements

there are never maps on hard that you can't find a way to win, you still have to be strategic though

but there's less of a pressing stress that you might have already messed up turn 2, and are just fucked

Too be fair on that level I went in with two broken kneecaps and underleveled

i never feel that stress
