honestly same connotation
i feel like the removal of the rings really fucks the flow of the game but i get what they were going for
rely on the rings heavily, build ur teams around them -> haha jk theyre gone, now u have to make sure ur teams work without emblems carrying certain units -> haha jk u have them again but u stopped using the people that were good with these and now u dont know where to put half ur emblems
but actually I think translations should either be "subtitle style" where they are more direct and assume some knowledge of the source culture, or full localization style where they rewrite everything including major details and the actual scene programming / message order when needed to make sense. anything in-between is like inviting the worst of both worlds

I straight up, want less rings
I'd rather they were more like S tier bond rings
With stats and abilities
Its part of the flow problem though, game of 2 halves
I'm glad you don't just get the stolen rings back
But idk how to take them away without gimping the options the player was already given
