you can do non sequential storytelling, and do it well, I just think they fail at it
I think it would add to it if they did it better
the problem is, even if you tell a story out of order, you need an in order story meta
so like, you can't act as though its the 5th movie even if you are showing it first
you need to introduce characters and shit
I was not all that confused for the most part
I got what the story was doing
I disagree, I think it was alright. It is not the movie I have the most problem with
I just think KnK could have been done much better
as evident by the movies I actually do really like from it

I really liked chaos;head to a surprising degree
chaos child is alright, I like the things they do with it, I think its weaker (except fuck the E0 recap of chaos head it ruined the plot of that anime)
occultic;nine has a few characters I really live (the detective), but some weird pacing issues (everyone talks as if you are on 1.5x speed) and the end is shit
robotics;note is slow, not much happens, its alright so far
chaos head is probably the only anime I have seen where the fact that it has the crusty old anime feel (similar crust to deen fate for comparison) makes it better
if you do watch the other steins gates, that one is my big recommendation
