I think I like the xc1 characters more than 2, mind you I've only gotten like 1/5th of the way into the game at most

xbc1 has extremely strong character introductions

you don't get to know the charcters un til the game is over

but then they literally do nothing for the rest of the plot

like dunban shows up, is cool and has some sick backstory stuff

Yeah, thats the difference, in xc1 you can appreciate the characters right out of the box, I don't really want to play 80 hours just to really like a character

and he could be so much more

Oh speaking of xenoblade 1, I really like all the cutscenes dealing with the battle at sword valley, I think that is some of the best parts of the game

really good use of the music for those

like I said, I love both games

they're both very important to me

I just think 2 released at a better point in my life, has more characters I care about and thus wins out for me personally
