at that size I guess movies are more like attraction shows than anything else

I think movies tend to do a better job at being "entertainment" than TV or Netflix shows do

too much of what gets pumped out nowadays is needlessly long or underedited

and while a lot of people like that, it makes moves feel different

movies are really good at telling stories meant for movies

personally I think the length is a bit lacking though

release the Lucas cut of RoS and have that be pirated en masse too

You can tell most stories in 1-2 hours

though that's a bit unfair, TV series aren't always trying to tell a story per-say

there's a lot of different types of stories

some are about events, some are sort of windows into a setting or life, and some are continous series that follow a cast or setting

movies can pack an optimal and curated amount of detail and polish to show the most important bits of a story

The Dutch have a word for that, which doesn't have an english equivalent

but some stories need both length and detail

to reach their full experience

story is a pretty broad word

a multi-season television show, with dozens-hundreds of hours of film

isn't a single story

shows can have more plotthreads

I'm not tryng to say "arc", nor am I trying to say you can cut it up and have portions stand on their own
