I would probably choose the western euro country if I got a choice as to which
western europe is about on par with the US for "places that are objectively fine to live"
better in some aspects, worse in others
UK is obectively a bad place to live
UK is rushing to become the worst western country in the world somehow
which is a shame, because I'd love to go there and see the old castles and stuff

Quebec being light green is funny. It is obectively a good provice to live in, but only if you speak french and are fine with being around the french
thats why I said BC, it is not super romote even mainland BC
my hometown had 15-20k (I forget) and it was just a shitter town in the middle of BC
I think the biggest hurdle for most people for picking a spot in Canada is you have to be fine with extremely variable weather throughout the year
you have to just be fine with weather ranging from -40 to 40
I am fine with it because I grew up in it, but its kind of a hard ask for most people because you get extremes on both end

I will go from winter coat to unzipped fall coat within 2 days
I've seen it go like -20 to 5 I think
Usually the day to day swing is not that large here
its usually just across a week it can change a lot
and bounce back and forth between super cold and mildly chilly
wind is why the winters are really bad
wind chill is way worse than normal cold
