the issue is that you have to play darksouls 2 like you're an adventurter and paying constant attention to your surroundings and approach every scenario like it's your last, slowly and methodically

this is the same issue dishonored 2 has where making the game for multiple types of people defeats the purpose of one. you can choose to have no powers, so the maps need to be designed for no powers, so the people that play with powers have a dirt easy time

ds2 is the inverse, it's made so you have to pay attention to everything and slowly explore- if you run past every enemy and don't look for environmental boons or hiding enemies and just rush you're going to be fucked

the alternative though is just making it so you can walk through everything, but then having fun exploring and not just going in a straight line is dirt easy
