I had assignments I had to hand in always, but homework was seperate
homework was a list of questions you were told to do, and I never did them
math wise anyways
I don't think I had homeowork in any other subject
Even in university I did not do practice problems beyond things that were actually assigned for grades, so I realize I just don't like the concept of homework
its good for people who need to learn that way, I don't
We'd have problem sets in math (out of the textbook) that were optional
But homework was 100% mandatory
Maybe occasionally it would be ungraded, but if you didn't do it they'd find a way to fuck you
Needless to say
I almost never did my homework
Elementary school is the only one I actually remember having homework for
they'd give out work sheets
I guess my problem is I do not consider assignments to be the same thing as homework, homework kind of implies optional to me
or not graded at least
I use the terms differently
I understand what it is called and why it is called that
I just have never used the term homework when reffering to a graded thing I am assigned
homework feels more like busy work
see, polu gets it
I agree that language wise, they literally are
but the use case of how I use them is different
