it's usually the speaker, but I guess if you constructed a self-proving sentence, and abstracted the speaker from it

"Guaranteed to happen" just means if it doesn't happen, someone else will owe you money.

I watched Project Hail Mary because it is on Prime Video now

Its good enough, but what I would want changed would make it not watchable for the vast majority of audiences.

I really like the Martian (movie not book), I feel like Proj Hail Mary is trying to tell a character story that's sorta impossible to adapt

without spoiling anything, since I still think most people here would find it worth watching Proj Hail Mary I don't think you can write a main character who needs to be 10 different characters at once, and gloss over the internal conflict

I find the Martian book to be absolutely boring tediously stepping through stuff like it's telling me, "yes i did my research, here it is". The movie was good to me since it glossed over all that.
