Looking at the british mint website, they are just a less cool version of what canada does

How much extra does it cost to make these abominations compared to a normal coin?
they are special coins
probably at most 2x the cost to make it
maybe 3-4x with the colour
But to get it you have to pay like 100x the value
canada does the same thing. The mint just sells cool special coins for coin collectors
Canadian spherical coins are still my favourite
