Activision Blizzard has appointed a new Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer who wants to increase the number of women and non-binary employees by 50%. https://t.co/AewcYU1XwD
Well I mean technically the point is to create a more diverse workplace, but not sure if having quotas are a good idea, it creates an unnatural divide and feels pretty condescending if you are considered a "diversity hire"
Depends on the job tbh, some jobs that rely on ideas could benefit from having a more diverse workplace, since people can have different experiences and perspectives
True, but I think that's due to the fact that as a society we've pushed men into doing most of that stuff, so of course men are going to be further ahead when it comes to these things, I think the push for more women in stem mainly stems from the destigmatization of that fact of "women shouldn't be in stem", if they want to pursue it they should be encouraged to
I mean, also that. Allowing women to work kind of destroyed society, because it allowed corperations and banks and all them to raise the price of living to cost 2 peoples wages instead of one
(the amount of people who are interested in math/physics is in it self, a minority of people though as well to be fair, but for women its an even smaller minority)
