Replying to mint #wimint it promotes wasteful electricity practices and produces insane amounts of harmful electronic waste. still thinks it's a somewhat necessary evil, see both sides of the argument side of thing. peer to peer computing is a technology vital for the future, especially with the way computing is going now, in the exact opposite direction, centralized.
yeah im pretty sure people would still use computers without crypto. by that logic the ps5 is bad for the enviorment lmao. its like saying buying socks is bad because most consumer goods are made in china so we should all walk around with only shoes on but make no other adjustments because working conditions in china are ass

people can talk about how shit something is, but there's plenty of other easily shittable stuff. everything that does something likely harms something else in a meaningful way, it's just a question of if people have an interest to make a case against it or not.
