it's a lenovo x1 carbon gen 5 yoga chasis with the motherboard of lenovo yoga gen 7, and also has various other assorted parts

no gyroscope for screen rotation sadly

but I did manage to get the pen to mostly work, and the windows hello finger print reader

lenovo has this awesome service bridge extension for getting drivers

I'm tempted to mess with trying some diffrent bios configurations too

yeah, I got a thinkpad recently, and was surprised how much Lenovo has stepped up on that side of things

but the site can detect hardware and give ya any driver or you can just search up serial numbers and get frus for every part and a great selection of drivers

and like install the drivers and all that right through the site

The thing I'm most impressed with about mine is battery life

screen is great

Even with a 16 core CPU and a 3070, I was able to squeeze it out to about 5 hrs

Also that Lenovo probably used the most beautiful 3070 chip I've ever seen for mine, it's completely stable even at +1700 on vram

the chassis was in great condition, the mobo in the yoga was fried and the charging port was cracked, apparently the athletic department at school bought it with extra covid money

I upgraded my desktop and laptop this generation, and my server is far beefier than what I realistically need, so all I do for that is add hdds

if I add a W11 desktop, I think it'll probably just replace the W10 one
