I've been playing through the Metal Gear Solid games. I'm almost done with 2

Much better than anime

As someone who does not play those games, I agree

Never played a metal gear

I liked the one cutscene internet historian played in full during the last of us 2

metal gear solid 1+2 is really good

Everything I've seen of mgs3 has looked either really good or really funny

I'm playing the GoG PC ports

MGS1 bosses are fucking difficult

the extent of my metal gear knowledge is walking box and that one cutscene where he yells SNAKE three times

metal gear solid 2 has some pretty meta shit in it

that kinda relates to stuff that is happening today

MGS2 seemed really dumb storywise but also really prophetic

yeah prophetic

i mean the story was pretty good for the time imo

I thought it was dumb until the reveal

and i still think it was pretty good

Which is where I am so no spoilers past that

Also Otacon is my favorite

Felt like raiden was a pretty lackluster protag until MGR

The one thing that bothers me about the song is the lack of rhyming

the mgs3 ending still kinda fucks with me

kojima is like george lucas in a lot of ways

I think he does better with limitations

The man does a lot of research to stay ahead of the trend and explore relevant ideas, but he also got a bloated ego from it

He does remind you that he wrote and directed the game several times
