it's great for people who want colleges to be a degree mill, and don't want to be there
I think it can work just all the boomers who are holding it back from actually being fine need to die
I'd rather we just end college alltogether
and outlaw learning past 12th grade
alternatively
extend hs to go to grade 20
mandatory
and tie all perks of being an adult to finishing "hs"
I think we could compress K-12 down to K-10, and start it earlier
so people graduate at 15-16
I also think that if school was more optimized you could do all of hs in 2 years
but the school system keeps getting worse
yup, same page as you there
Well it's never been not bad
school sucks
So the only way it could have gone was down
HS was so fucking awful because it was always too slow
Having to recover the same math topic for a week straight when I got it the first time
drove me mad
I feel like, my experience in school was so different than everyone elses
I liked most of middle/high school
other than a few worthless classes
like Psychology of Business Management
I liked my hs
I just feel like I could have liked it more
only course I took that I hated was a music composition course
also the only course in hs I failed
I'd like to see more accelerated schools
we had one
accelerated towards your sex dungeon
you would like that
in 2nd grade they tested everyone's apptitude
then from 3rd grade on they had a "magnet school" for all the smart kids
that got more resources and the best teachers
that's how the system should work
then you can stay on the advanced track in middle/high school, even though they brought the plebs back
I NEVER had class with any of the dumb kids
a grand total of 2? kids moved up from dumb -> smart
over that entire period
some moved down, but not a ton
maybe ~10
out of the initial batch of 60
My school had divided courses (grade 9/10 its academic/applied) (11/12 is C/M/U) so since I only took the harder version of the courses I did not have classes with mouthbreathing retards for the most part
except french I took the easy version of french
because fuck french
we had pretty heavy segregation, and it wasn't based on grades, it was based on intelligence
so there were people getting shit grades in the special classes
but they were people who were worth having there
frankly, whoever was pulling the strings behind the scenes did a really good job
and I wonder if I was a second grade teacher if I'd be able to pick out the "thinkers" from the "non-thinkers"
just loudly yell you dropped your pocket
anyone who looks down is shipped off to the camps
I took music courses that were not shit
I need to hear this
I took strings for 3 years
Rusp, did you just listen to music as a class?
what even is a music course
The music made my pp hard
rusp you really did almost fail that course
what the fuck
