I hadn't really paid any attention to their dumb "creator tier" thing they rolled out last year
but it looks like Patreon is thinking about raising the minimum donation tier for all non-premium patreons (to $3)

also, they grandfathered rates are set to expire this year
so all the old patreons will go from 5% to 8% fees
and to keep low-tier pledges, you'd have to opt to go for 12%
