anyway, my takeaway from everything I've learned 1) Fuck QNAP, 2) Don't think you can fix drives 3) When you do fix a drive, it's no longer useful for anything 4) The overhead on large drives is just silly 5) rebuilding a RAID takes fucking forever

I bought a QNAP box on a whim ~6 months ago because I always wanted to try out the commercial NAS' software suite 1) It's bad 2) I'm not sure it could possibly be good
