The fact that I had to make a user named Everyone to actually allow it to work is just like....why.

I was too lazy to install nas software so i was hitting my head against my desk trying to make windows shitty solutions work instead

Like most windows systems it's a thing that has been built up and on so much, they do get quite convoluted

And while there often is like 6 ways to do one thing

It's still neat how much you can do

It doesnt help that they change how windows functions every few months so any tutorial you have to decipher what the new way to get to the menu is

The problem with honegroups is that they're too limited to actually accomplish what you need them to

I just needed to access files on one pc from another

It would be nice to have one consise yet simple system for managing users and permission

It really isnt too bad it just requires turning on sharing in like 6 different places on both pcs

And then adding a new user called Everyone to allow the Everyone user you turn sharing on for to have perms to actually use the drive
