My subreddit is weird as shit

they are still trying to defund the blacks btw
they just got enough signatures to force a vote
Black student group made a bunch of statements
"Defund the police"
"Uwaterloo is a white supremacist institution"
etc
people do not believe they should be forced to pay funds to this group
I think each student pays the group like 50 cents or something
they want to make that opt in, so you can only pay it if you want to
effectively killing their funding

our president is a turkish muslim
its a part of the student association fee
that you have to pay
thats like 5? 10? dollars
a term
Only optional fee I pay into is the science endowment fund because that is used for lab equipment
and its only like 20 bucks
I refund everything else

this is a course run by a prof everyone hates and constantly petitions
trying to figure out if removed from teaching or dead
I mean, what do you expect
I would not want to go to work with a bunch of kids, who are know to be the least sanitary people on the planet
let alone during a pandemic

I can understand younger kids being more resilient once they catch it, but the idea that they do not spread a disease seems fishy
since why would the disease discriminate by age when it comes to how it spreads
I mean, I could chalk that up to the immune system doing its job. Virus is still present but the kids immune system is able to fight it off
