my profs (except for my chinese stats prof) are all nailing online video lectures

the main problem I have with online learning is it's really hard to show a professor your work unless you are workign digitally

but they're still posting lecture videos, right?

some classes aren't getting lectures at all

they're just getting notes, or powerpoint slides

and maybe a sentence or two from the prof giving direction

or those classes that just grade discussion board participation shit

My fluids class has 60% of my grade doing a "labbook" where I have to solve exercises and shit throughout the term and they grade me based on if I put enough work into learning the course myself

spooky I had a class where the prof literally just gave us writing assignemnets after spring break and that was the class

no notes

no video lectures

shit like that, would make me angry about paying for

especially since tuition is essentially full-price

have fun reading a textbook that you aren't required to own

with 2 lectures worth of teaching

he made us teach ourselves

which is the gayest thing ever

idk, I had a freshman engineering class that was kind of like that it was fun

made us make our own quizes

and grade our peers

the only thing he did was make a midterm and final

idk if its an american versus canadian school thing, UW is doing fine with the whole online learning thing

for shit that I was correct about in my writing assignments

so he clearly didn't bother reading those

almost ever prof in my major is great

it's the our of major profs that even up being a dice roll

it's a school-by-school thing

most virginia schools are in person w/ masks

and are doing just fine

well yeah I expect in person to be fine

every one of my classes but lab is online

My campus requires you to sign in whenever you enter campus
