idk, a lot of these are floating around

My school is so laid back
some colleges take this shit way too seriously
its the opposite of this
most of my exams are multi day
These are from University of North Texas specifically
I would just tell them to fuck themselves at that point
I've got a way lower threshold
requiring video would be where I say no, fuck you
same
Its an invasion of privacy
fuck you I am not doing a webcam, and no you can't have root access to my pc
It makes it worse that these companies like SafeAssign and SecureQuote, and apparently McGraw hill
just design better tests
have access to the live feeds of students
and are monitoring htem
Like, my university specifically told profs they cannot do this shit
at least the math and physics faculties did

You know that feeling on a test, where you look up or look around the room
and you think to yourself "I hope no one thought I was trying to cheat"
I do that in exam halls
I literally sit there for 10 minutes thinking
blindly looking around
a lot of people do it, it's really common
that thought still pops up I'm sure though, from time to time
when you're doing something innocuous
God, what a terrible feeling, to have to be worried 24/7 about a computer false flagging you

There are if you do not have these webcam requirements bopit
these profs are trying to enforce closed book by the most draconian overreach possible
All my exams are just open book, and exams as a whole are worth less then usual
thats the proper solution
My only bad exam is my stats exam that is 2 hours long instead of an full day
there are tiers though
Zoom/virtual lectures >>>>>> the shitty anytime assignment ones
Video recording lectures with zoom/msteams tutorials >> actual real time lectures though

mine are just like 20-40 mins
if it's the full recorded one + the tutorial
as opposed to the 50-90 minutes a lecture usually is
my profs (except for my chinese stats prof) are all nailing online video lectures
but they're still posting lecture videos, right?
some classes aren't getting lectures at all
they're just getting notes, or powerpoint slides
and maybe a sentence or two from the prof giving direction
or those classes that just grade discussion board participation shit
My fluids class has 60% of my grade doing a "labbook" where I have to solve exercises and shit throughout the term and they grade me based on if I put enough work into learning the course myself
shit like that, would make me angry about paying for
especially since tuition is essentially full-price
