seems like a genuine take
Alright guys
just learned this exists
I have 500 bucks to work with
what should I get
I am tempted to get a third monitor
and one that is not small
like my other two
so I could have it in the middle of my desk, with my two smaller monitors on either side
you have two 24'' monitors?
a 3rd is probably a good buy
21'' and 19.5''
iirc
I measured the bigger one and if I did it right it is 21''
you could get 1 larger monitor, and make that your main monitor
yeah that was the plan
what would you recommend size wise
as a decent monitor size
I use 27'' monitors, but your first thought when using it for a while will be "this is too big"
(at least, that's the reaction I remember having as a kid)
standard size is 24-27
to clarify here's the space I am working with
what's the back of your desk like?
there is no back
wait yes there is nvm
solid wood
I was going to say, if you had someplace in the back to grab onto, you could get a monitor arm
if that was preferable to jsut having three side-by-side
I prefer them being on the same level
I cleaned off my desk just to take this picture for you Pika
amazing
I've got two stacked on the left, and my main one is on the right
I guess if I got a third monitor I would need to figure out how the fuck to connect it to my pc
I assume your card has more outputs
either DVI, display port, or some size HDMI
I have 3 HDMI that are bigger then the current monitor HDMI I use
at least I assume they are HDMI ports
yeah, you're probably using miniHDMI then
Disaply ports
and you've got that DVI below it too
God, maybe I should take the time to actually fix my other two monitor setups while I am at it
have a usb to VGA running from pc to one monitor
and a HDMI to VGA on the other
I mean, if it works, don't touch it
fair
all that will do is cause new headaches
Pika
instead of a monitor, you think they'd sponsor you to get a no bullshit mic?
I have to justify how I am going to use it for school
monitor would still be my pick, of anything to add
monitors/computers are easy to justify
mic less so
yeah, probably
I can also get multiple things
anyway, if you did have a place to mount a monitor arm on the back of your desk, that would be my strong, strong recommendation
looks like you don't though
just sum total of 500 dollars
I might be able to do a wall mount, but idk
the wall I am against was built by my dad and I when we made my room
oh yeah, if your parents don't mind, wall arms/brackets work too
assumign there's a stud there somewhere
since monitors are suprisingly heavy
there's a stud right here
know any good big displayport monintors
so that I do not need to use an autistic convertor method for a third monitor
almost all monitors now have display port
oh you know what, I can also use an HDMI monitor, since i have a spare HDMI to VGA cable I can use for my other monitor
