now I think you just muted your audio again anyway, this is just Windows being terrible at audio channels your two options are to use a virtual channel or to use the "browser" feature in OBS

i think i got it if i can figure out how to swap what source firefox uses

so I know W10 changed how audio devices work (or so I've heard)

if you have a spare channel, have firefox play through that, record that one in OBS, and just mute desktop audio

you can specify what audio device to use with firefox in the audio settings I am pretty sure
