when you look into the actual soil compositions being sold by the affordable bags, they have become terrible
half the price for a better mix if you do 40/30/30 coco/pearlite/bark and then you still have 2 cu ft of pearlite left over

Also, I agree if you can mix your dirt yourself it's always going to end up better value wise the two normal FoxFarms potting soil mixes (not the one regi bought) are some of the best widely carried ones You can find slightly better deals if your local nursery makes their own or stocks Amish brands

I'm mostly just disappointed how bad MiricleGrow has gotten, because when people ask me why their shit is dying, I have to break out the autism of "well you fucked up by assuming the name brand soil couldn't be that bad"

it's really bad for drainage (by design), and because it's mostly freshly mulched wood and plastic, it takes multiple years of breaking down before you get some of the minerals to release, so you can choke some things out with NO2

btw any potting mix like the frog one that says mycorrhizal is likely bs since you need to put the powder at the roots for it to do anything

i have a lot of head hair, a decent beard and mustache (i hate my moustache but look worse without it) and my arms and legs are definitely hairy, isnt like, a sign of low testosterone or whatever if you don't have atleast some leg hair as a guy
