Actually Leg, I may tempter my recommendation to you slightly
I think it is a really great movie, but there may be a couple parts that frustrate you
I think the fact there is never a real language issue is the part that I feel they missed on
if you want to handwave the initial learning to some passable level, sure, I'll suspend my disbelief
but after that, it makes no sense to drop it as a plot point, and treat it as some Pacific Islander "Ohana means family" type exchange every time
though, I can sorta look past it because I'd hate for an entire movie to sound ESL
which probably comes across better described in-text
My issue really is the all-in-one MC, I think it's a hard to suspend my disbelief that he can simultaneously have every character perk and character flaw at once, all the time
The Martian worked better ironically, by giving him less flaws
clearly Leg, the best way to experience the movie is to see it in some random Indonesian dub
get really immersed
one of my favorite parts of the movie, was the classroom scenes when all the kids are talking about the stuff going on
