@polu your tornados have shown up here
after we were just talking about it never happening
they've shut down a ton of DC stuff, my university shut down too
I am glad I live in such a stable area of the world
essentially no earthquakes (nothing super powerful), tornados are super rare
Too far inland for ocean based events
idk why I'm so biased with Virginia, but it's close to my ideal climate
it's right on the 6-7 line, so you get really varied seasons with real Summers and Winters, but also the coastal effects
I prefer colder weather, but not getting real Southern Summers would suck, and while I like the mid-atlantic in general, N.Virginia also gets decent winter snow and cool weather starts early in the fall rather than in November
