clarification, I'm assuming it's a large fuck-you sized coffee
My standard is coffee at tim hortons, which is way lower than all listed prices
I do not drink coffee though
I'm annoyed if I have to pay more than $3.00, but if I'm stopping to get coffee I'm pretty price-inelastic
I have, but I buy it for my mom
yeah 7Brew is a complete joke
they saw Pete's coffee being expensive, and said bet
how big of a chain counts?
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 how big of a chain counts?
Just not a local thing that has 1 or 2 stores
When you go into a diner or even a NICE restaurant for breakfast, unlimited coffee is ~$3
most of the gas stations and convenience stores are creeping up too, but still in the ~$2 range
most of the fast food places only have (what I would consider) small coffees, and aren't worth it, even if they're technically less expensive
An extra large is 2.35 CAD in tim hortons
yeah but they're a coffee+donut place
Dunkin donuts also has good coffees here
Replying to Kribbles #kribbles1 I'm just curious if 7Brew is the worst offender or if there's a store even more obnoxious
I'm sure there is but I've yet to find it. Its easy to hate Starbucks because its Starbucks, but I was genuinely offended by the "experience" of going to 7brew. Sitting there in the drive listening to Taylor swift through my noise cancelling headphones for 20 minutes before being served an upper mid 20oz large black coffee
I meant more the mcdonalds/Wendy's type fast food
I see
My local bougie chain coffee place is https://thehumanbean.com/
The Human Bean
The Human Bean
thehumanbean.comIts because they lost the contract to mcdonalds
mcdonalds coffee is the coffee timmies used to have

Huh. There's one of those near me.
they're really expensive for what they are, but better than Starbucks imo
The best coffee I've ever had (which Kribble/Mint/Regi may agree with)
was Zingerman's

Unlimited diner coffee is slept on. Its not a bad idea if you plan on chugging down 3 or 4 cups as fast as you can
yep, whenever I'm traveling for work, I'll wake up early and go to a wafflehouse/ihop/local place and kill an hour drinking coffee and picking on something
compared to Starbucks though, it's night-and-day
I used to go to Ypsi/Ann Arbor all the time for work
it's where I first met Regi
Maxar is up there
(after like 10 name changes)
I think they're something else too
tell Space Force to buy our shit
and I'll be there
most of the companies we work with rn are Beltway-based
Is that the one the shooting was at?
yeah, it's the Dunkin+baskin Robins
oh, I assumed that was the joke you were making
oh, no that place is a local meme
back to Raccoons' question
idk what my limit is for when I'd walk out without getting anything
I feel like it's shamfully high though
I'll walk out of a gas station if their energy drinks are more than $3.00
but if I'm stopping for coffee, I'm probably just going to suck it up and pay
getting mischarged is one of the micro things that really gets under my skin, even if it's <$1
My stores are required to give you it free or 10 dollars off if they fuck up
so I would complain
its ontario law
10 dollars off whatever the discount price is *

Do you feel like youre being swindled
So it is just outright always worth complaining about it
that's a good word old-timey
