I was worried you meant like, at most you'd grunt at people in public
but not actually say anything
I do not start small talk, but if someone starts it with me I will continue it
although I have just mentioned things to people and inserted myself into their conversations if I am vaguely related to it before
such as if people are talking about a test they finished with their classmates I will just interject if I was proctoring it
Last time I talked to a stranger a woman asked me if I knew when the next bus was coming and I told her what bus tracking app I use

I know how to talk to people
I just do not talk to people unless I don't need to

last time a stranger talked to me was some guy in my OS lab yesterday asking who I was because I was talking to somebody he knew while he sat there not saying anything until eventually he left.
