Honestly that's an interesting observation. There's a lot of pretty different cultures even within the US, so if you've only lived in one state your entire life, it's possible to have a culture shock going elsewhere within your country.

i only visited california for disneyland/seaworld/legoland as a kid a few times, and also yellowstone national park once, also when i was younger. those are the only times i ever left my state

my family are the only people i would ever travel with if i ever did agree to travel again

My parents make me super stressed when traveling and I've really never enjoyed that. Going with my friends are so much more relaxed and just going with the flow.

We were allowed to eat lunch in classrooms, so we would play euchre with our own teacher and watch youtube videos together. And then my sister would eat her lunch in a bathroom stall
