I agree for the record
Proton is superior
it's just unintuitive to me how they handle marking Linux-Proton-compatible games on Steam
in the sense that if somebody emails me i'll send them the fucking project source if they want it then yes
the license is a spooky joke that's a holdover from our other stuff
i thought about changing it but i kept it because i thought that if somebody tried to "go through with it"
it could be funny

If you are paying with not currently in wallet steam funds, the super boost for view strat is gifting a 5 dollar digital steam card for them to buy it with. However don't worry if you aren't or don't trust them to not spend it on something better, any and all support counts.

this matters sorta, but gifting copies is 90% as good and is a lot lower friction than trying to give people money to buy it themselves
imo, I'd say to just do the normal thing and gift copies if that's easier
