this seems like the worst way to accomplish what they are talking about in the blogpost
unless they're adding game hubs like the school hubs soon
and capping it just means these servers will be incentivized to purge people, and focus on a smaller number of games
the only thing that really makes this "guildy" at all, is the join-via-application system
which should probably just be its own seperate feature
imo, the feature people want that's actually guildy, is an easy way to spin up game specific channels without absolutely cluttering the server

there are plugins that do that, where you can tag people with last post date in the server
but it doesn't really matter
I am fine with lurkers being able to see everything
I know for a fact there are a dozen people who do read the server, just not post
