Dawson broke the ring finger of his right hand in the lead-up to Paris 2024, which could have put his Olympic participation in doubt.
However, the 30-year-old, who was a part of the Kookaburras that won a silver medal at Tokyo 2020, opted to have the affected part amputated rather than putting it in a cast to ensure he can play in Paris in a fortnight’s time.Thursday, August 1, 2024
Another one bites the dust
Man, Vinny, dude
seems like your work is erm a shit place to be
maybe you should, yaknow, if you want, fucking quit and get a better job
The fact that I can see 5 more spots that are going to fail and do that in this picture
Vinny your store is literally falling apart
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak maybe you should, yaknow, if you want, fucking quit and get a better job
I’m going to get my drivers license before I quit so that I can have more options. I have a dmv appt this Saturday
I am going to hold you to this
get your fucking license and run (drive) as fast as you can away from here
Vinny I just want you to know, the comical idea of one of these bursting above you while you are standing there dousing you in shitwater, followed by the iconic vinny sigh, fills me with joy

Because New Jersey is retarded
You need to get a permit to take the knowledge test to get a learner’s permit, for instance
Is that not a thing in most of the US, thats how it works here too
you have to do a roadsign and rules test
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak Is that not a thing in most of the US, thats how it works here too (edited)
Taking a knowledge test is normal, but to need a permit to take the knowledge test afaik is not
Yeah, that is more common
I think I can just walk in and take it too
you just pay 30 bucks or something
Probably?
It is american bureaucracy fire. You need 100 steps so the average person suffers
New Jersey just sometimes has extra bullshit
Like the person making a left turn is always at fault even when the other person hit them going quadruple the speed limit
That’s a true story that happened to this guy Devin who used to work at my DT
lmao
That is such a bad rule, considering it is legal to do left turns
not if it was a school zone and quadruple the limit is just normal road speeds
then you could survive
No, but I was trying to justify it lol
I’ve seen them at low as 15mph, so they can be
Still
The briefly made the school zone limit 20 KM/H (they raised it after complaints), so 4x is 80, which is highway speed limit for normal non major highways
normal highways are 80, some are 90, the super big highways like the 401 are 100
that is just how Canadian road speeds work
I assume you converted to km/h for me?
because thats insane if mph
okay lol
Some of the most common speeds I see around here are 45-55mph (72-88kmph) for main roads and 20-25mph (32-40kmph) for residential. I’m guessing it’s closer to the lower end since he said the guy that hit him was going about 80mph (128kmph)
residential is 40-60 km/h depending on if rural or city, school zones are 30, highway is 80-110 (I was wrong, it goes up to 110 now, that is more recent)
We do not do speed limits incremented to 5's, so it has to be a multiple of 10
