my younger brother is not autistic, but he was definitely autistic-adjacent when he was younger
would do the whole. shut-down when he got overwhelmed, and stare at a wall for hours
Minecraft got him out of that, he made these (genuinely impressive) minecart trick ramps
and through the process of showing off Minecraft autism, he learned to talk to people, he was pretty much non-verbal before
I actually wonder what % of families have one kind who's at least semi-autistic
the number with a NEET is shockingly high now
these are the stats no one wants to own up to
