Anyways, I am glad they cancelled it
I thought I explained it pretty well
after all, I was Nervous about the #Starliner launch, a lot seems to have gone wrong in the last week, but NASA, ULA, and Boeing seem determined to make their launch window tonight.
unirronically yes Pika
I am glad you agreed with your own tweet
and Leg, so traditionally all rockets are mated horizontally
and then raised into a vertical position
SpaceX is the only one who does vertical mating
and no shit, thie Boeing bus has never been mated vertically before
but they yolo'd it today for some reason
I like learning how incompetent modern rocketiering is
it is funny
ULA is essentially bankrupt rn
(United Launch Alliance)
before SpaceX, they were the only real game in town
but they suck
NASA is a train wreck too
everyone is, Space is super profitable now
Spooky hear me out
no one is doing launch though
zero profit, only risk
billion dollar idea in venture capital
first fully AI designed and launched rocket
chat GPT is the pilot
Use AI to predict how the flight will go to claim it is safe
So Pika, idk if you'll appreciate this
but orbit control systems are super easy
an AI could totally do it
I could believe it
A lot of control is done with real time machine learning now adays anyways
At least a lot of modern control research is
it turns out inertia and predictable gravity is really easy to deal with
I literally have been forced to do orbit control on paper on a test I am pretty sure
at least parts of it
it's called "attitude"
and literally every freshman ever
fucks it up and thinks the prof meant to write altitude
I was going to look up the term, but I think I will just a spider instead
so, god news for Boeing
they didn't fuel the rocket
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I was going to look up the term, but I think I will just a spider instead
lol
Spacecraft attitude control
Spacecraft attitude control is the process of controlling the orientation of a spacecraft (vehicle or satellite) with respect to an inertial frame of reference or another entity such as the celestial sphere, certain fields, and nearby objects, etc. Controlling vehicle attitude requires sensors to measure vehicle orientation, actuators to apply t...
en.wikipedia.orgIts okay
it was hidden
now it's really hidden
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 they didn't fuel the rocket
if you load fuel and then have to dump, the process to revalidate the rocket become WAY harder
same reason that the longer the rocket sits on the pad, the worse the outlook for it becomes
an engineering scrub should be 1-2 years
2nd stage rocket valve impacted during mating per TM
yeah, if that's true
this would have blown up
that's something that could be shoddily fixed in a couple weeks, but full re-validation will be 2-3 months min

they spent more time on this
than they probably did on many critical safety features

ngl if i had the chance id fuck the shit out of billie eilish
She looks like parts of her will smell very bad
No sane person cares about ass

i dont care
ass is not attractive
