those are the current hot pickups for tac-shit knives
at least around here
the 11'' one especially, I know a LOT of people who strap those
The other one is for people who want to larp as knife-fighters and have watched filipinos on tiktok kill each other with eskrima knives
they've doubled in price because the guy who makes/markets them can't keep up with the number of 25-35 y/o retired soldiers buying them
Gent's tires after the Pirate lesson
idk if anyone here has read/watched the 3 Body Problem
it's one of those oft reccomended sci-fi book series
whoever wrote this story is a fucking idiot though
this is worse than modern Marvel or Star Wars Ep. 9
isn't there another name for it, Great Filter theory
or is that similar but different
@Phijkchu_Pikachu it might be too complex for an EFAP
but I'd watch a 30 hour EFAP
tearing this shit apart
this makes me as mad as the loli lobotomy did
I have heard people talking about it
is it that bad?
I know nothing about it
I knew a bit about it, because it's a notable book series
billed as similar to The Martian or The Expanse
sci-fi physics keno
Netflix did an adaptation, actually amazing adaptation
yep that one
I can accept someone who likes Big Bang Theory, or Young Sheldon, or any other pop-science shows/movies
but if you like 3 Body Problem as a story
you are a fucking idiot
I now refuse to believe anyone has actually read the book if they recommend it
I think the 3 body problem is interesting, but uh, yeah not really story worthy
or read the first few chapters (which is all cool physics setup) and thought "oh this must be good, I love science"
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I think the 3 body problem is interesting, but uh, yeah not really story worthy
I'm not spoiling it, but the 3BP is the inciting event for confusing things happening, and Physicists trying to explain random phenomena
isn't the solution just that it is not stable
and that setup, sure cool
Replying to Polar_ #polar_ I read the first book, and the dropped it. Oddly enough an old friend reached out to tell me about the show
good man, sorry to tell you your friend is retarded though
in what
lmao
I thought you meant he was a PhD physicist when you responded with that
You know me
Kappaa
depends what kind of stats you do
some of those guys are crazy with the math they know
insurance actuaries especially
does it make more or less sense than chinese lore though
because chinese lore is nonsense too
I think the setup is 10/10, they open on a chinese communist party university struggle session in the 1960s
and it is the most accurate recreation I could imagine getting greenlit
I'm actually confused how this show got greenlit, the only thing they seem to have sorta censored is underage nudity
Replying to heir #hyrrulfr isn't the great filter the one about not being able to reach the space colonization phase due to limitations, whereas the dark forest is that no space-faring civilization would want to reveal themselves because you never know what dangers might notice you?
Great filter says there are no space fairing civilizations because they wipe themselves out (or get wiped out) before being able to become multi-system
I think Dark Forrest postulates that if there were space fairing civs, that the technological mismatch between them would necessitate they all hide from one-another
