No, it was a quiz, and only 14/66 people did not write it
the 0% is obviously the no shows
Einstein implicit summation notation is hard, I have no idea why it is being taught in a 2nd year math course
I saw it in General Relativity
It is useful, because otherwise things become unbarably combersome
and it makes what would be a 30 line proof like 3-5 if you do it right
its just probably overkill for calculus 4
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak This was the question
i dont know what the equation is but i like how the question is worded like it's some exasperated teacher begging someone to put in minimal effort
It is a short answer question
you can literally just write the solution, no justification, and get full marks
This class is determined to fail, apparently only 20 people show up to lecture, about 10 show up to my tutorials, and 4 unique people have shown up to my office hours over the term
its this

classes like this are weird, it's like a wave, as some people start opting out, more keep opting out
this thing is a tensor (technically, it is not used like one), which is why it is called that
for ijk = 123, 312, 231 it is 1, 213, 321, 132 it is -1, otherwise it is 0
Anyways, almost no one knows this because it really only becomes super useful for high level math
it is useful for what they are doing in this course, but I would not do it this way for a 2nd year course

if only my algebra 1 teacher would've let me get away with this
This is fully showing work, its just the math is set up so the work you show is implied
it was designed because technically these are sums of terms, and writting that out is annoying
Tried to prove b) at least
That is a sign of "I have no idea how to do these, I will guess and hopefully get part marks"

I think it's pretty good, torrent streaming is only sorta hit-or-miss when you start talking about aggressive timeline scrubbing
but that's pretty standard

the postdoc lecturer who got fired for that paper, posted a new paper and uploaded a readthrough of it

Win11 has full android compatability
why not just enable embedded android widgets
sure it would run like shit
but Windows does that already
I mean
true
the windows media control in general just doesn't work
