honestly, the audio is the weakest part somehow

most generic music playing the entire time, and line delivery is terrible

They hired every washed up asian actor they could get their hands on to fill the quota

Sokka is fine at best

But not his fault they gutted his character

Also why was the iceberg just above water

surely Zuko, who has sailed those waters hundreds of times, would have noticed it

the background throw-away fire nation subordinates deliver lines and act better than Zuko and Iroh do

Kyoshi warriors and Jet do a good job in their episodes

They made Omashu and Boomy into Indians, and they suck

Main CastC Tier Sokka - actor tried, they wrote the character terribly D tier Ang - mostly flat delivery, but some of that is the writing's fault Iroh - wrong casting choice, unable to play role of character well, but is at a disadvantage trying to fill the role of a beloved character F Tier Zuko - Genuinely terrible acting all-around Katara - Even more passive version of herself, actress is unable to put any emotion into anything

Genuinely, every other actor in the show is C tier or above

I'm not sure how that's possible

the direction had to be "can you stand still and say your lines devoid of any emotion whatsoever"

I get that it's hard to adapt animation to live action, but this main cast is a special kind of bad

Music is still worse though

the way the first episode is shot (only one I’ve actually started to watch rest I’ve seen is Twitter clips) it makes you think 0 time passed between the genocide and them finding Aang

they play with the timeline a bit too

Zuko's agne kai happens right before the events of the show

Bro went straight for the north pole and skipped all the air temples

they did a flashback thingy

but yeah, despite being 8 hours long they cut a surprising amount of stuff

About 20% more runtime then the original show and do nothing

honestly the first 20 minutes are not bad

ngl though, the sets, outfits, and even some of the background CGI is really good
