in reference to Western writing that's been bugging me
I seriously don't think people know how to write stories anymore
it's not worth a long write-up, but I really am confused how we went from good stories with generic characters or mundane worlds, to the opposite in ~10 years
where no one seems to be able to come up with anything even a bit compelling

The retards who surround Mauler now (really since the beginning) are the caliber of people I imagine are taking these lead writing jobs

the retards who surround mauler do not get into the tv/movie industry more or less because they are too autistic
I ended up watching a bit of a couple of EFAPs a few weeks ago
they usually just self publish books
and Pika, idk how he puts up with his wack pack sometimes
the ones who take everything super literally
and are tech-illiterate on-top of that

There's good writing in niche sci-fi books still I'm sure, same as there always was
but mainstream fiction has gone downhill imo
and movies/TV/games are far FAR worse
the franchise ones kill me the most, where a writer is handed characters and a world that don't suck
and can't form any sort of story to tell with said things
not the big budget ones like Marvel/Star Wars
those seem fucked from the get go now
even apolitical stuff seems to be shit lately

I'm just really frustrated after a number of really bad shows I've picked up got me thinking
that I can't think of the last story in Western media of any form that I thought was good narratively
I can think of things I liked, but nothing I would put in the tier of good I'd put stuff I actually really like
