Oh shit discord fixed the thread feature that makes them show up below channels whenever they are open and you are in them
it now no longer does that

so they'd stop showing up

why the fuck are they charging you for making a small volume of storage like that available

pay for a REALLY slow drive
and then just load everything into RAM when the instance starts
this is the Windows ramdisk way
on Debian it's pretty easy too from what I remember
but uh, I think it would actually solve your problem, since Ramdisks are transparent to your OS
