There's a higher IQ version of this that's deflecting and more akin to moralfagging
like when people are SUPER anti-porn or w/e, despite themselves indulging in private
in extreme cases, building up social capital to wield that influence over retards
for low IQ people it's more about finding things you don't understand or more specifically things you are told are "bad" and seeking them out to destroy them

I think it's the low-IQ way to rationalize something about themselves or the world, perhaps what "makes them good themselves"
people who "stand against racism", or blindly enforce/follow rules
it's got a lot of overlap with NPC memes, the not understanding humor, taking everything literally, etc. etc.
probably a lot of overlap between low-IQ, being underage, and having mental disabilities, maybe all expressed slightly differently
but it's the same vibe I think
