it was not bad, but it did not improve my quality of life at all
there are things I don't care about, like doorknobs vs doorhandles, etc.
but carpet is such a huge upgrade over hard floors
The only thing I can guess is americans use different wood for floors because I legitimately don't get it
tiles/hardwood/cement all feel cold and sterile, carpet feels comfy
I like the cool feeling of my floors
there are also different types of carpet and all
it's not really a temperature thing
we have rooms with both
and I always hang out in rooms with carpet
rugs do not suffice
I feel like this has to be a cultural thing because I really don't get it
my upstairs is tile

I think the shoes thing is weirder than the carpet thing though, that I don't get, especially if you insist on having carpet why are you using shoes and carpet
Also maybe you wouldn't have so much dirt and shit on your floors that you need to not step on if you did not walk in with your shoes
all of this seems counterintuitive
I mean, I just leave the hair that accumilates on my floors until it is bad enough to justify vacuuming for 20 minutes and cleaning all of it
