I think the bot has gotten less creative if anything, the general (lack of) creativity of prompts being fed to it are the most likely cause
which leads it to bounding itself more
the censor blocks feel about the same, perhaps a little worse
but the general bounds are more dictated by it trying to follow a pattern, and almost guiding you back to a known path, even if you can easily talk your way around it (without using stupid tricks)
Do you think it's more the bot itself or the assumedly in place information perser that's an in-between taking what you type in, trying to correct/reword any "problematic" things and give it to the bot
the way the bot gets into a dead end is almost never due to the actual filters (violence, lewds, etc.) imo
I don't know exactly how it compartmentatlizes hitting a censor within a given thread, but I think it kind of just ignores it, it doesn't ding against you and lock down more or anything
but when (due to random chance) you luck into a scenario where it tries to direct you back to a more "normal" path
it will reenforce itself over and over again
and you will dead end
generating wedding vows for gawr gura and Rusp for example, you end up with a very limited varience, because it has this idea of what wedding vows *should* look like
What little I'd heard as the "problematic" stuff was political bias
or the not wanting to talk certain things about people
shame they lobotomized it but honestly expected
the censored stuff is annoying, I just don't think that's the main problem
it really is 90% the bot thinking it knows better than you about what you ask it
and lacking some directive to be creative with its responses
which imo it should have
hopefully they figure out wtf they're even going to do with ChatGPT
I have a feeling it's going to go away
Google and Microsoft have been talking about their clones more and more, and we'll probably see stuff from them by the end of this year
so we'll see how they try to monetize it, and if things get annoyingly more locked down
