I have bad hearing so it helps keep me focused
I've observed it too, with my younger sister

do you think that's partially due to being septilingual Fire?
I will concede, that reading subtitles makes it way harder to get distracted
but if I'm distracted like that, I probably don't like the show that much anyway

to be fair spooky the range of english speakers is so wide sometimes you might basically need subtitles as much as a foreign language
