low-latency (in-home) game streaming actually works pretty well and requires very little processing issue is that smart home/TV stuff is notoriously bad for high-throughput over wifi, and devices which can take a direct ethernet connection often throttle it or don't tag packets correctly

so a dedicated device works really well, an app leaves you sorta at the mercy of the manufacterer (who usually only have to plan arround a buffered TLS stream that AT MOST will require 2mbps

where in-home quality streaming is more like 20mbps

AV1 also helps a lot, and it's finally getting to the point where most devices are compatible with decoding it

Part of me wants to say it would be 700>, but i remember from the original Valve Index launch they were not selling the headset for too much of a net gain. I think they'd probably be willing to go low in an attempt to get more people on, especially those who might already have establish libraries on Playstation

Idk off the top of my head, but VR has always interested me, and I know before I even buy any VR specific games I have a bunch of games that have VR stuff in addition to their normal versions

Yea, there arent many VR games i think would be good enough to make me buy another headset. I can name maybe 4 games I thought were cool. Again, maybe something really cool came out in the last 3 years I missed.

Phasmophobia VR was fun until they patched it so you couldn't stand on the couch

I'd consider the cube, if only for the fact that even on the new computer I overload sometimes while playing and streaming at the same time, which fucks the video bad

And with that I could have one static set of settings and not have to adjust it or lower quality in game

I only have a steam deck to play video games, so I'd probably actually get the gabencube a few months after it releases and the reviews seem fine.
