So for async, how does that work I skipped out on the last one
You can play on your own time
if there is nothing to do, just wait for someone else to do some stuff
we usually play together the first day as if it was synch, then just play on your own time/when some one asks you to find something
the benifits for asynch is you can do longer games/settings, and also multiple games if you want
I'll play windwaker and something else that is smaller
alright not sure I wanna do LTTP.
I don't know the game that well, and I'm trying to do a solo rando right now and my tracker shows no green checks haha
I'm gonna play Kingdom Hearts and Mario Kart Wii

When does everyone want to start this? I am busy this weekend but will have some small time to play my games.
As an async, I don't think it would hurt to start any time. If people get locked early, that's fine.
Can everyone submit their YAML + name of game by the end of today then?
I'm currently running a practice of Flipwitch, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to finish that today, so I'll just run it. Worst case scenario, we need to release it if the game doesn't work.

Running Flipwitch and Emerald. Both get locked VERY easily, so I might not have much to do when we start.
I'll fix up my wind waker settings, and decide if I am doing a second game sometime today

Do you know what the expected length of this game is for an archipelago?
since i'll be skipping story and i'll have things like x4 exp modifiers it will be signifigantly shortened. maybe 15 hours? depends how good i am at remembering how to reach all the treasure chests, and my goal is not the final boss, but the boss of the 2nd to last dungeon.
so as long as i get everything i need to kill that boss i'm good
that's still pretty long. It's fine for an async of course, but you will likely be the last to finish I'd imagine.

Since its asynch, probably fine. Wind waker used to take me 7-8 hours when me and Max were in our race arc, but I am super out of practice

the randomizer also marks all the chests if they have things that are progression important or not, so if i need to speed things up i can start ignoring filler chests

I just remembered that Xenoblade X Wii U has an archipelago for some reason

@TinyBomby you can see here, there's a green chest icon. that one has a progression item in it. the red ones are only red because i havent been to the zone yet, they get re-colored once i enter that screen
there's also a dark blue for "useful" items, w/e that means
I know in Pokemon, random things like pokeballs are considered useless, but a TM may be considered a useful item.
Your useful items mostly ended up being area keys and items iirc
from the test we did

There is apparently a kirby amazing mirror early alpha now. Won't risk trying such a new one, but next time we do this if that's more done, I'll do it
okay, i may have to postpone my other idea until next time we do archipelago. this thing is unfinished, maybe ill make my own simpler apworld
on that note, still want to get more experience with archipelago and have time for async. has anyone done civ6 before, think thats what ill do

I assume buildings, science, etc are randomized
so you have to find them to use them
no clue but at least its a game i know well enough, and its officially supported
a very small amount of games fot that criteria for me

I would not limit yourself to just official support tbh
I think as long as it looks like it is being actively worked on and its not too recent, it should be fine
its built into the offical archipelago client
