Guys I know none of you are playing the Uma update
But we all need to get on the 3rd best game with Rumble in the title, Sonic Rumble
Then you can get on the best game with sonic in the name, sonic chronicales dark brotherhood
I never played, but ive considered it since its one of the last games with ties to Penders iirc
Before recently where I beat sonic adventure 1 and 2 (and advanced) it was the only sonic game I ever actually completed

Sonics GBA era was good, but I dont think i played many of the DS entries

With Rance 01, you want to save semi-often, and if you want the full experience you should try every option multiple times
I don't think? you need to backtrack to try options again unless the game indicates going back, but you should try every option a couple times, at least until it is clear there is no new text
I do not remember what particular options lead to what outcomes, I only vaguely remember what happens where (its been years since me and umbreon first played 01)
I save kinda excessively in RPGs, idk why but I do.
I immediately tried assault on the in keeper after saving just to test it out. I just dont want to do it and then replay an entire day even though that technically shouldn't take too long

There are missible things in 01, but replaying the game if you want to see them is way faster since you just beeline for that stuff
and you know the optimal strategies at that point so combat is faster

In terms of pure gameplay, I think I would rank the games as 03 > vi > Quest > iv > 01 > Sengoku > 5D > 02 > 4.2 > 4.1
Also vaguely similar to my opinion on ranking overall not just gameplay, except 01 moves up to 3rd place and iv probably goes below Sengoku?

I was talking about something similar yesterday with some friends, in regards to call of duty, im ok if a dev goes out on a limb to add a new mechanic or change gameplay in a way because theres a good chance itll be at least interesting
But im sure without a way to temper it down and refine it in a sequel it stinks. Also since its an RPG im sure it could make a 60 hour or longer game into a real slog if you hate the gameplay

01 is not actually that long, so it honestly is a good intro to the server to see if you like the character/humour
In terms of length based on what I know (not including 9 and X, I have no idea but X is huge apparently), Sengoku (See all CGs) > Quest (See all CGs) > 03 > vi > iv > 01 > 0.2 ~ 5D > 4.1 ~ 4.2
If you want to 100% them, Sengoku and Quest flip, the rest of them are just the 100% time or 100%* (skipping super end game boss that is not tracked and would take a lot of grinding/effort)
Just looked up a rough play time for 01 is 10 hours, which I will probably go way over
But I didnt buy them so I cant really track them
01 is maybe accurate, you can trust none of those rough estimates
half of them use cheat engine or a guide, if you are playing blind you are usually going over the online estimated time
Yea i always assumed those time to beat things are done by people skipping all possible dialog and having prior knowledge of encounters
I think they are fine for not RPGs
