My go to card is Articuno EX, ramps super good and it feels like water has some of the best cheap cards, plus misty (while doing nothing 90% of the time) can get a quick start of all your water pokemon

I havent played a lot of pvp but i feel like its simple enough like Duel Links was where it could be very popular
Articuno EX and Moltres EX seem like really good generators, surge + magnemite on bench is pretty fun aswell
I wonder if losing the coin flip is actually as big an advantage as it seems in the challenge battles
its definitely an advantage since you get to hit first if you put a 1 energy card

i only have these and the event pikachu from the shop
and I have 2 boring EXes and a base mewtwo
I think the EXs are more bearable by wonder picking for them
I have done 15 wonder picks and never gotten the good one
It brings them up to a 1/5
Wonderpicking for art or basics seems like a huge waste for relative card value

Just realized the game will track how many copies and which language the copies are in. Neat.

I've not looked at the number you get from melting dupes yet or w/e the main way to get them is
i thought you melted dupes to get the card effects
300 store mats = ~13 packs
oh just drawing dupes
i've been making flairs every time i get more than 4 of a card
conversion seems to be
1 crown = 64 rare store mats
3 gold stars = 12
1 gold star = 1
1-4 diamonds = 0
but then you're also passing up the chance to flair them
what menu do you do this in?
not that i have more than 2 of any one of these cards

for "rare" cards
no one should do this since trading is coming in the future
also, per the packs right now, there is a 14.87% chance of getting a gold star or higher
so imo the main pull time reduction mats are a better spend than the rare shop tokens
no value judgement on whether the main pull mats are better or worse than the wonder pick mats
because I still don't know the actual equation for wonder picks
picks cost 1-3 mats based on some summation of the rarity of the cards (I've not seen a 4 or 5 one yet at least)
my gut says you should always do the 3-pull ones
so the value is probably somewhere along the lines of 3 wonder picks being worth a 20% chance (if fair) at a gold star or higher
which is 72 store mats, or 3 packs
so I think the 3 packs are better?
I'm sure someone more autistic than me has already broken the numbers down better than that
also, there is ZERO reason to whale in this game, the price of gold relative to what it gets you is laughably bad
i am remembering how much I hate trading card games with me getting only terrible draws then losing 5 coin flips in a row to lose a won game
