I beat the first two difficulties of fights to 100% completion

beating some of the second ones in 14 turns was hard

its very hard because I have so few usable cards

i want and bought some trainer cards just so i would have less dead cards in my decks

i full cleared two of the final stages

I didnt realise i had to own the early tier evolutions and just stacked my deck with tier 3's. Very embarrasing!

The worst mission in those is killing 2 of a type but the AI only uses basic cards

the Pikachu EX deck is cancer

even if you draw perfectly the AI has to draw horribly to live past turn 2

but doing the challenges will be awful

I beat the AI when he turn 1 had his Pikachu EX

the challenge to beat it with a deck only including pokemon weak to your oppoenent will be the most cancer

i finally rolled an onix and brok in the starting hand while losing the coin flip

easy as that

the harder challenges for types probably depend on getting EXes that aren't weak to the type

One of the EX's, the guy got fucked

he did not draw another basic

and I KO'd his only active pokemon, winning in 4 turns

Misty's trainer ability is for every heads you flip you can stack an energy on your main pokemon, but once you get tails the effect ends. I think I've used it 5/6 times and flipped tails first turn every time. I hate it here.

mostly because im hunting for anon ex articuno

this game is obnoxiously pay to win i am realizing

you cannot make good decks with gacha

you need duplicates of EXes to stand any chance

or dumb stuff like the nido queen deck

yea, quickley realized that when the dust mechanic didnt exist and it was just a pity on pack openings so you could maybe get an ex after 50 packs or something

i dont get how a modern TCG could ignore it, but its the pokemon tcg so i expected far less than what we got in the first place

I am actually having fun beating IRL people with my deck, had a few close games where opponents had objectively stronger decks but I was able to scrape by with a win by strategizing.

All it took was a simplifed version of a game made for children

My go to card is Articuno EX, ramps super good and it feels like water has some of the best cheap cards, plus misty (while doing nothing 90% of the time) can get a quick start of all your water pokemon

I havent played a lot of pvp but i feel like its simple enough like Duel Links was where it could be very popular

Articuno EX and Moltres EX seem like really good generators, surge + magnemite on bench is pretty fun aswell

I wonder if losing the coin flip is actually as big an advantage as it seems in the challenge battles

its definitely an advantage since you get to hit first if you put a 1 energy card
